Before hosting a notarization session, you’ll need to ensure your documents are properly formatted, uploaded, and ready for review and signature.
- Save the document you need notarized in PDF format. This ensures all fields and formatting remain intact.
- Ensure the document is complete and accurate before uploading. Fill in all non-notarized fields ahead of time.
- Leave any signature and notary fields blank—these will be filled during the live session.
- If the document includes multiple signers, ensure it clearly indicates who signs where (labels, initials, etc.).
- If applicable, add optional annotations or instructions in the file to guide the signer or notary.
- Log in to your Notary.io dashboard and go to the Sessions section.
- When creating a session, use the Upload Document field to attach your prepared file.
- Once uploaded, you’ll be able to preview the document and confirm that it appears correctly.
Tips:
- Use a clear and legible scan if uploading a physical document.
- Avoid password-protected PDFs.
- Check for blank pages or missing content before uploading.
